Activity Description

Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) is one of the fastest-growing water sports in the world, combining adventure, fitness, and relaxation all in one experience. Whether you are exploring calm inland waterways, gliding along stunning coastlines, or enjoying a peaceful sunset paddle, SUP offers a unique way to connect with nature and enjoy the water.

Perfect for beginners and experienced paddlers alike, stand up paddleboarding is easy to learn and suitable for all ages. It improves balance, core strength, and confidence on the water whilst also providing the opportunity to slow down, unwind, and enjoy the surroundings at your own pace.

From social paddles and guided adventures to skills coaching and longer touring experiences, SUP is a versatile activity that can be as relaxing or as adventurous as you want it to be.

Introductory & Bespoke Sessions

Whether you are new to SUP or looking to improve your skills, this session is designed to help you build confidence, learn water safety and develop more advanced techniques on the water.

We run these sessions on a 1-1, 2-1 or group basis.

Within the Tamar Valley we are spoilt with choice of many beautiful sections of the river to paddle and explore. Our main locations are Calstock, Morwellham Quay, Lopwell Dam and Halton Quay. With several locations to choose from, we can adapt to the conditions and find sheltered water when needed.

Other locations are available on request.

All Equipment and safety gear is included. Need to borrow a wetsuit? Just let us know!

SUP Yoga

SUP Yoga is a fun way to increase your balance and focus whilst immersing yourself in nature for a mindful practice. Our SUP Yoga sessions are a mixture of Hatha and Flow Yoga, with a bit of play around time at the end to relax and/or explore your own poses.

No experience is necessary, this activity is suitable for all abilities.

Yoga/sportswear is recommended, but bring a towel, layers and shoes you don't mind getting wet.

All paddleboard equipment included and if you are new to paddling a (dry-land) introduction to kit, safety and paddling essentials will be given.

Good general physical fitness is required and participants should be able to swim.

Social Paddles

Welcome to SEA MOOR Social, where we’re all about creating unforgettable moments on the water with great people like you. Whether you’re an experienced paddler or just discovering your love for the sport, our social paddles are open to anyone who shares a passion for paddling, community and just loves being on the water.

Prior experience is required to join these sessions. For SEA MOOR Social you should:

• Feel comfortable to stand whilst paddling,

• Self-rescue if you fall in,

• Launch & land independently,

• Use your own equipment unless prior board hire has been arranged.

Our experienced guides will join you on the water and lead the way, so you can relax, have a chat, or simply enjoy the calming, restorative feeling of being out on the water — the sense of peace and mental clarity that comes from time spent in natural water environments.

Working with the tides, we run a fortnightly programme across different locations to make the most of conditions and keep sessions varied.

Guided Paddles

We’re fortunate to have so many exceptional paddling locations on our doorstep, from calm, sheltered inland waterways with smooth conditions to stunning coastal routes featuring crystal-clear water, sea caves and unspoilt coastline.

On our longer paddles, we’ll pause at a quiet beach or riverbank to enjoy coffee and cake, and in the warmer months we often take a refreshing dip in the sea too. There are too many great spots to list, but here are a few of our favourites:

Our home the River Tamar, Looe River and coastline, Lantic Bay, Thurlstone/Hope cove, Cawsands and may more! Click book now to see our upcoming dates and locations!
